[Locomotive-users] general frustration

Should I just go by the book or is it possible to still use
Locomotive while I'm learning. One thing that was confusing was that
when I would try to do something setup-wise in terminal (without
using Locomotive), I would get errors or other message that said
something to the effect that what I was trying to do was in conflict
with Locomotive, or that my commands were being ignored in favor of
Locomotive's installation.
