Why don't you made an index.html on your machine with the appropriate 
links to
your app on your machine? and registering your localhost via apache mod
as bonjourable? so your kolleags only needs to "klickiklicki" on your
computer and then select the link to the app on your localhost website.

that's quite more simple and produces less network traffic ;-)
