This 1-click action is my safety net, and it makes me daring more
because all it takes is 1 click on a Dock icon. And while it's
zipping, I'm sipping.

It's a poor man'Undo. I'm surprised not more people do it. In my Java
era, I even made a plugin for IDEA that would zip the whole project
and send this backup file to your GMail account. With 1 click.

That's the whole point: it's too complex - or rather: it could+should
be waaaayy simpler -, and if it's complex you don't use it. I prefer
to spend a few minutes to create an automator. The biggest problem is
wasting space in the Dock for 1 new icon for each project.
