[Locomotive-users] I can't get started

I am totally new to Rails and am having difficulty getting started with Locomotive.  I downloaded and installed Locomotive my Mac OS 10.3.9.  I created an application specifying a path to my Sites folder.  I highlighted it in Locomotive and chose to Open Terminal.  Nothing happened.  I chose Edit in TextMate (which I have) and nothing happened.  I tried stopping and starting the application.  Still nothing happened when I tried to Open in Terminal again.  I must be doing something really dumb.  

Please help.
