Hi,

I don't really understand what you are asking.  To install gems, you _must_
have some sort of admin rights.

Other information you could provide to help us help you includes what
exactly you are trying to accomplish, what exact version of OS X you are
running, what architecture you are on, what you have tried so far to solve
the problem on your own, whether or not you are opening your terminal from
within Locomotive, and so on.
