[Locomotive-users] Rmagick bundle not working?

I'm trying to use/play with Gruff. And it's entirely possible I'm doing
something totally wrong and stupid. But, heck if I know what it is.
Anyway...
I installed the gem, and now I see this line in my gem list --local
gruff (0.1.2)
Beautiful graphs for one or multiple datasets.
Using a 'test' script, I created a controller, etc. with just these
commands:
require 'rubygems'
require 'gruff'
The require 'rubygems' along works fine (and doesn't do anything weird).
When I add the require 'gruff' and reload the page, ruby crashes. In the
system.log, I get:
